GEORGE LYNCH Pays Tribute To RANDY RHOADS On ICARUS WITCH CD
October 6, 2005George Lynch, the LYNCH MOB/ex-DOKKEN axemaster best known for his fiery, melodic guitar leads and stylish post-Van Halen proto-metal rhythms on such classics as "Paris Is Burning", "Breaking The Chains", "Into The Fire", and "Dream Warriors", is making a rare special guest appearance on the new album by young traditional metal revivalists ICARUS WITCH. When "Capture the Magic" is released this October 25 on Magick Records, fans of Mr. Scary will be treated to his Randy Rhoads tribute as Lynch burns the frets on ICARUS WITCH's version of the OZZY OSBOURNE classic "S.A.T.O."
WITCH bassist Jason Myers became friends with George while living in Los Angeles and was thrilled when Lynch agreed to play on the group's debut album. Myers says, "George has been an inspiration to us for so many years. While our music is darker, we try to carve creative melodies into the rock in the style he perfected over two decades ago. Lynch is famous for his flamboyant shredding solos, but the guy also wrote some of the most important riffs and hooks in the history of American metal!"
